Vaikhanasa agama( Different beras)

The info provided in this post can be found at many places on the net. Still let me just write about it for the sake of continuity. There are five kinds of murtis used in the worship of Lord in a Vishnu temple.
1) Dhruva bera - The immovable image or the main image.
2)Kautuka bera - The image used for all archana related activities. Considered on par with dhruva image in power. Made up of precious metals. (The same image is known as Bhoga srinivasa in tirumala temple)
3) Utsava bera - The procession deity. (In tirumala the same image is known as Malayappa swami)
4)Snapana Bera - The bathing deity. (In tirumala the same image is known as ugra srinivasa murti)
5)Bali bera - Used for all offering havis etc to the Lord. ( Also known as koluvu srinivasa murti in tirumala temple). The order from dhruva to bali beras is an important one and has significance in temple rituals. Though it is desirable to have all the five beras at least dhruva and kautuka beras are compulsory.
narayana smaranam.

I was researching to check on conducting "Thirumanjanm" in the evening for perumal/Thayar in vishnava temples. Information will be of help. If yes some refernce documents will be helpful.

Refer to any of the Vaikhanasa agamas like Samurtarchanadhikarana etc. You shall find these details in chapters titled snapana utsavam or so.

Try www.archive.org for any of these... All are in sanskrit only though.

The ritual itself is very simple which consists of a sankalpam in the begining, followed by doing some basic upacharas like brushing lord's teeth, offering arghyam, padyam etc. with the appropriate Vaikhanasa mantras. Then comes bathing the Lord with milk, curds, ghee, honey , tender coconut water, fruits etc.
Lord should be bathed with water after he is given bath with each of these items. At the end of all this he should be decorated with sandalwood paste and turmeric paste and tulasi garlands. Then the lord should be given bath with thousand dharas using a plate with multiple holes in it. With this the seva comes to an end and then harati should be done. (Kumbha harati, nakshatra harati and karpura harati). All this bathing should be done while reciting the sacred suktams which include at least the Purusha suktam, Sri suktam, Bhu suktam, Nila suktam, Vishnu suktam etc. At the end the devotees should be given the fruits and honey as the prasadam. It is also advised to collect water from the Lord's feet and sprinkle that on every one as this is Lakshmi pradayakam. With this the seva comes to an end and the Lord is cleaned in ekantam and given fresh clothes. This is Thirumanjanam or snapanam in brief.

But there are prescribed times for doing any Vaikhanasa rituals. Snapanam I think is generally carried in the mornings/afternoons only and not in the evenings. You might want to confirm this from an Agama expert in Vaikhanasa though.
